Montpellier Slipover is an oversized vest with a high rolled collar with ribbing down the sides, worked from the top down. First you work the back and front sections one at a time, the top of the back is worked flat before picking up stitches on either side to make the shoulders and neckline. Then the front section is worked flat. Then, the front and back sections are joined, and the body is worked in the round on the same needle. The body is finished with ribbing and to finish, stitches are picked up at the neckline to make the collar the shoulder to form the collar which is worked in rib and folded in two.
